Teething Spring, TX — Champions Pediatric Dentistry

Teething

Whenever you have a brand new baby, you look forward to seeing what they will look like as they grow and begin to get their teeth. However, you find out pretty quick that the teething process can be far from enjoyable. Each tooth that begins to break through can cause a lot of pain and discomfort. Your little one may begin to be very fussy and seem miserable most of the time. It can be hard making them feel comfortable and help ease their pain, especially if you are a new parent. Don’t worry any longer. At Champions Pediatric Dentistry, we are here to help!

Symptoms

If you are unsure if your little one is entering the teething stage, there are certain symptoms that will stand out. Most babies have common symptoms that will indicate a new tooth coming through. Some of the most common symptoms are:

  • Excessive drooling
  • Lessened appetite
  • Chin rash
  • Trouble sleeping
  • Swollen gums

In addition, they will most likely begin to chew on anything and everything that gets close to their mouth and be very fussy. Once the tooth breaks through, your little one should begin to feel some relief. Although the teething process can be rough for you and your little one, you can help your baby feel some relief by giving them cold teething toys to chew on and placing a cold, wet cloth on the area where the gums are swollen.

At Champions Pediatric Dentistry, we want to help you get through the tough teething times and through every big change in their teeth!
